This page is the work in front of us, not the product. Every item below is marked Not available yet because every item below is not available — you cannot buy it, turn it on, or find it in the app. It is here so you can see where Covered is going before you decide whether to come along.

What Covered actually does today is a different page, and it is the only one you should price a decision against.

Each item says what it would do and what it is waiting on. Where somebody outside Covered is the blocker, they are named — a partner approval we have not been granted is a more useful thing to know than a season, and you can check it. Where the blocker is us, it says so. There are no dates on this page, because a date is a promise and none of these has one.

Waiting on someone else

    Reserve with Google

    What it would do
Covered would let a guest book a table straight from your Google Search and Maps listing, into the same book as everything else.
    What it's waiting on
Google. Reserve links are provisioned by Google to approved partners; Covered has not applied and been approved, and there is no availability feed or booking server behind it yet. Read that as a warning, not a tease: if you have that button today through another booking provider, you would lose it by moving here.

    Google Wallet passes

    What it would do
Covered would put the booking on an Android handset the way the Apple pass already works — updating itself when the time, table or status changes.
    What it's waiting on
a new Google account. The service account that signed these passes was deleted along with the accounts it lived in, and has to be rebuilt from scratch before the pass route can mint anything.

    Samsung Wallet passes

    What it would do
Covered would put the same booking pass on a Samsung handset.
    What it's waiting on
Samsung. The card is written and signs correctly, but Samsung have rejected it on their side (their issue reference WLT1N2131), so it stays hidden from guests rather than handing anyone a link that dead-ends.

In design now

    What a guest actually spent

    What it would do
Covered would carry the bill total back from the till onto the booking, so a guest profile shows real spend rather than a blank, and reports can reconcile a night against what the till took.
    What it's waiting on
nobody outside Covered. This is the piece being designed now, and it is the reason the loyalty item on this page cannot exist yet.

    Loyalty

    What it would do
Covered would recognise a returning guest by what they have spent and how recently, and mint a reward automatically when they cross a threshold you set.
    What it's waiting on
the guest-spend work on this page. Covered never learns what a guest spent today, so every tier would compute against zero and nobody would ever qualify. Building the tiers before the number they read would be theatre.

    SMS booking messages

    What it would do
Covered would send the same confirmations, reminders and change notices by text, for guests who are not reachable on WhatsApp.
    What it's waiting on
us. The message templates and the sending code exist; no SMS account is connected on this deploy, and not a single text has gone out.
    Providers this would cover
    Twilio SMS

    Your email marketing platform, connected

    What it would do
Covered would sync a segment of your guest book into the email platform you already pay for, and attribute the bookings that came back.
    What it's waiting on
us. The segment builder and the campaign screens are in the product; no campaign has been delivered from them yet, and none of the platforms below is connected.
    Providers this would cover
Mailchimp · Klaviyo · HubSpot Marketing · ActiveCampaign · SendGrid

    More tills

    What it would do
Covered would write a guest pre-order onto a till other than Square, with the items and modifiers mapped the same way.
    What it's waiting on
a partner approval from each till maker, and a menu adapter per till after that. Each one is a separate application, not a switch.
    Providers this would cover
Clover · Zettle by PayPal · SumUp · TouchBistro

    Bookings from marketplaces and social

    What it would do
Covered would accept a reservation raised on one of these and drop it into the same book, on the same table rules, as a booking taken on your own site.
    What it's waiting on
a commercial agreement with each platform before a line of it can be written.
    Providers this would cover
Facebook & Instagram · TheFork · Quandoo · Yelp Reservations

    Reviews from more than Google

    What it would do
Covered would pull reviews in from these alongside the Google ones, next to the booking and the guest they belong to.
    What it's waiting on
    us. Neither has been started.
    Providers this would cover
    TripAdvisor · Trustpilot

Push the guest book into your CRM

    What it would do
Covered would keep guests and bookings in step with the CRM a group already runs, rather than making the guest book a second island.
    What it's waiting on
us. Nothing beyond credential storage exists for any of them.
    Providers this would cover
HubSpot CRM · Salesforce · Zoho CRM

More ways to take a deposit

    What it would do
Covered would take a booking deposit through the method below as well as by card.
    What it's waiting on
us. It is behind everything else on this page.
    Providers this would cover
    PayPal
